Hello, I’m Jo, Lead Sports Therapist at Beach House Chiropractic in Worthing. I’m a qualified Sports Therapist (Level 4 diploma) and a member of the Federation of Holistic Practitioners. I provide a range of treatments encompassed in Sports Therapy and in truth there are no two appointments exactly the same. That’s because each person I see is an individual and has different needs from their appointment with me.
I use a mixture of Deep Soft Tissue work (such as Sports Massage and stretching), acupuncture and Kinesiology Tape. You don’t need to be a Chiropractic patient at Beach House to see me. Many of my clients have Sports Therapy to help in daily life as well as specific sports. After all, it’s not just sports events that are responsible for muscle injury and repetitive strains!
The main benefits of Sports Massage & Sports Therapy include;
Ease and Eliminate General Aches and Pains
Improve Flexibility and Range of Motion
Reduce Lifestyle and Occupational Stress-Related Tension and Anxiety
Prevent Injuries and Maintain Mobility
Restore Mobility to Injured Muscle Tissue
Speed up Recovery from Injury or Repetitive Strains
Enhance Performance
Promote Healing and Relaxation
I work very closely with all of the Chiropractors at Beach House, which means our clients receive a very holistic approach that helps get to the root cause of their problems. This approach gets lasting results and for me personally, it is very satisfying. Clients with back, neck, shoulder and knee problems respond particularly well at our clinic.
A little about me…
I first qualified as a Sports Therapist in 2001. An injury brought me to Beach House Chiropractic as a client and having witnessed the benefits of Chiropractic first hand I was compelled to team up with the Chiropractors. I love every minute of providing Sports Therapy at the clinic here in Worthing.
I’m a very active person and take part in many different sporting activities such as sea kayaking, surfing, road cycling, hockey, tennis and anything that I have time to do. This gives me a great upper-hand in relation to understanding sporting injuries and the way the body works within different types of movement under the stress of sporting activity.
I look forward to meeting you at Beach House Chiropractic for your appointment soon! For more information about Sports Therapy or to book a Sports Therapy appointment simply call us on (01903) 66 00 94 today.
